Gecko Eyes – Addition to the exclusive houseboat fleet on the Mekong

We are pleased to announce that we recently extended our fleet and now offer travelers three luxurious Gecko Eyes instead of one. They have space for two to four people and are perfectly suited for small families, couples or groups of friends. On board you can enjoy private tours through the beautiful Mekong Delta.

The Gecko Eyes are the smallest element of the Mekong Eyes Cruise fleet besides the other three boats Dragon Eyes I and II (each with 2 cabins)  and the Mekong Eyes (15 cabins). Like the first Gecko Eyes, the new boats were built in the style of traditional An Giang fishing vessels. In old traditional ways local craftsmen made them of native woods. Each of our ships gets its own individual touch by precious carvings.

The Gecko Eyes provides the most exclusive way to explore the impressive world of the Mekong Delta. In a stylish ambiance the lively Vietnamese everyday life can be observed. Watch the farmers harvesting their rice fields and the swarm of boats on the floating markets without going on an exhausting daytrip.

Environmental protection is very important for us. Therefore we minimize the environmental pollution by an electric generator, solar hot water boilers and modern waste-water treatment.

What to expect?

On board of the Gecko Eyes you can take a tour from My Tho and Cai Be via the colonial village Sa Dec. Likewise you can enjoy a trip to Can Tho with its famous floating markets and travel with us to Long Xuyen and Chau Doc or Ha Tien, a city on the Cambodian border.

Due to the limited draft of the boats the Gecko Eyes can basically glide through the whole Mekong Delta. Therefore we are happy to offer you the option to book an individual tour on our vessels.

Furthermore our Gecko Eyes always hold bikes on board ready for your spontaneous excursions. In this way you get to know small villages and the life on the canals and waterside.

Whichever tour you choose on board of our Gecko Eyes – we’re looking forward to welcoming you!
